June 23, 2021, marks the completion of one year of founding Usanas Foundation and to mark the occasion, board member Amb. Anil Trigunayat inaugurated the annual report 2020-2021. Usanas Foundation emerged in the pandemic-stricken year 2020, from the small but historically rich city of Udaipur, and fought against adversity to grow into a vibrant community—which will only grow more in the coming times. Today we are one of the leading geopolitics and security affairs organisations in the country and have made a notable contribution in the important field of promoting national security and strategic studies through unbiased and cross-disciplinary analysis of global events. The past year has been filled with turmoil as the world was ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic and targeted aggression of revisionist powers in regions like the South China Sea and Ladakh. The brutal war between Azerbaijan and Armenia resulted in the loss of several lives and wrecked regional stability. Domestically, the abrogation of Article 370 left behind strong geopolitical implications.  The announcement of U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan has raised apprehensions about the future security of the region as a whole. Amidst these complex, dynamic geopolitical changes, Usanas Foundation worked towards producing a realistic and sensible framework—which we call the ‘Usanas framework’—to decision making. Through numerous security dialogues, webinars, roundtable conferences and more, Usanas has supported governments, scholars, journalists and businesses in making informed dimensions. Apart from that, Usanas has been regularly publishing excellent unbiased analytical pieces in the form of articles, issue briefs, research reports on wide-ranging relevant contemporary international events around the globe, which have garnered worldwide readership.

As India navigates through the geopolitical complexities of the regional and international environment to establish its credentials as a global player, Usanas Foundation remains committed to promoting world peace, prosperity, liberty, and security in a democratic, multicultural world order tolerant of diverse religious beliefs, ideologies, cultures, and lifestyles. As we go forward, this annual report highlights our achievements as well as lays down our vision for the future, so that we can continue to contribute towards achieving our mission in a more constructive manner. We share this with our readers to help them better understand our work and join us in our journey to transform how International Relations is understood in India.
