Hezbollah: What Next for Israel and Iran?
Usanas Foundation is organising a Discussion titled "Hezbollah: What Next for Israel and Iran?". The discussion is scheduled for 1st October 2024 at 06:00 PM IST. The discussion will host a distinguished group of experts to analyze the ongoing crisis in West Asia. On October 1, 2024, Israeli ground forces initiated an incursion into southern Lebanon, marking a significant escalation in their offensive against Hezbollah militants. This action also opened a new front in the yearlong conflict against Hezbollah, a group backed by Iran. The incursion follows a series of substantial strikes by Israel against Hezbollah, including an airstrike that resulted in the death of the group's longstanding leader, Hassan Nasrallah. The objective of this incursion is to intensify pressure on Hezbollah, which had commenced firing rockets into northern Israel following the commencement of the conflict in Gaza.
